New Sharpie Color Burst Markers for your adult coloring books!
A reader (Ron Rouzer) recently commented on one of my blogs posts and told me about these new Sharpie Color Burst markers! Of course, I flew to the Amazon site immediately and ordered mine. Should you do the same? Probably. But I will let you decide. I colored a page from one of my adult coloring books (2 Old 2 Color: Wild Child) to give you an idea of how these new colors compare to existing Sharpie colors.
Like all Sharpie markers (except for Neon and Metallic), the Sharpie Color Burst markers are available in Fine Point and Ultra Fine Point. Personally, I most often use the Ultra Fine Point markers but the Fine Points are great for coloring larger areas.
Sharpie Color Burst Marker Colors
Power Pink – This new Sharpie Color Burst marker is closest to one of my very favorite Sharpie colors, Magenta.
Racey Red – This new Sharpie Color Burst marker is closest to the regular Red Sharpie color.
Supersonic Yellow – This new Sharpie Color Burst marker is closest to the regular Yellow Sharpie color.
Jetset Jade – This new Sharpie Color Burst marker is closest to the Sharpie’s Turquoise.
Brilliant Blue – This new Sharpie Color Burst marker is closest to Sharpie’s Techno Blue (found in the Electro Pop edition)
I colored the page to the left using the new Sharpie Color Burst makers and the Sharpie markers that are closest in color for a side by side comparison. The end of each marker cap is resting on the appropriate color.
Racey Red can be found on the heart-shaped image. Regular Sharpie red is directly above in the sunburst looking image. You can see that the regular Sharpie red is a little darker.
Brilliant Blue can be found on the right side of the page. The closest Sharpie color that I found is Techno Blue which can be found in the middle of the page (the blue colored section that has yellow circles on it).
Supersonic Yellow can also be found on the right side of the page. Compared to the regular Sharpie yellow (see the nearby triangle), the Supersonic Yellow has a bit more green in it.
Jetset Jade can be found directly above the marker cap. In contrast, the Sharpie Turquoise (near the center of the page) is a bit darker.
To buy or not to buy?
Are these new Sharpie Color colors different enough to warrant a new marker purchase? Gun to my head, I’m probably going to say no. Unless of course you are like me and are obsessed with having as many marker colors as possible. If you are, then follow the links below and be among the first to have these new Sharpie colors (let’s face it, all of your friends will be jealous). Happy coloring!

Great review! So extensive. The best thing about your site is that now I know I’m not the only person who collects markers (I collect a lot of things that come in various colors).

Thanks Ron! And thanks again for the heads up. I hadn’t heard of the Sharpie Color Burst markers until you told me about them.
